Description
The Garmin Tacx® Boost Rollentrainer gives you a straightforward way to ride your own bike indoors. When weather, daylight or a busy day gets in the way of an outdoor ride, its wheel-on setup lets you keep cycling at home. Secure your bike in place, set up the handlebar lever and choose the effort that suits your session.
The trainer uses a magnetic brake with 10 manually controlled resistance levels. Move the lever attached to your handlebars to make pedalling feel lighter or more demanding. Whether you are warming up, settling into a steady ride or adding harder efforts, you remain in control of the resistance throughout. The Boost can provide resistance for efforts of up to 1,050 watts.
A flywheel helps create a smooth pedalling feel, while the enclosed resistance unit is designed to reduce noise. This makes the Garmin Tacx® Boost Rollentrainer a practical choice for regular indoor sessions without the complexity of setting up an interactive smart trainer. When you finish, it folds for storage. The multifunctional front-wheel support also works as a carrying handle, helping you move the trainer out of the way.
The Boost does not automatically adjust resistance to follow a virtual route. To record speed, distance and estimated virtual power in a compatible app, you need a suitable speed sensor. Garmin includes a sensor in the Garmin Tacx® Boost Rollentrainer; check which package you are buying if app use matters to you.
For cyclists who prefer a simple setup, manual control and the freedom to train throughout the year, the Garmin Tacx covers the essentials of indoor riding.
